He studied at the Royal Conservatory of Madrid. In 1963, for a period of 2 years, he furthered his musical studies in Basel, Switzerland, Montpellier, and Paris.
As a musician, he was awarded the Récord World Prize in the years 1974, 1975, 1976, and 1977. In 1980, the Modern Drummer magazine awarded him as one of the four best drummers of the moment in the world ranking.
He organized, created, and achieved that the Allen Star Drummer’s Festival was recognized as a Guinness World Record in the years 2000, 2002, and 2009.
As a drummer, he has performed under the batons of the most prestigious figures in symphonic and light music, including Elmes Bernstein, Michele Legrand, Henry Mancini, Lalo Sifrin, Barry White, Paul Muriat, Walton de los Ríos, Luis Cobos, Rafael Sanz Espert, and many others.
In the world of music, he has collaborated with prestigious artists such as Barbara Streisand, Diana Ross, Julio Iglesias, Raphael, Paloma San Basilio, Rocio Jurado, Kimera, Miguel Ríos, Nino Bravo, Camilo Sexto, Bruno Lomas, Juan Manuel Serrat, Dúo Dinámico, and more.
As a composer, arranger, and record producer, he has written and recorded numerous songs.
As an artist, he has several albums in the market, including Regresión, Signo de Cáncer, Callejón del Agua, Mis Raíces, Classic All Star, The All Star Blues Band, Libertad, etc.
As a conductor, he has led prestigious orchestras such as the London Sinfoni, RTVE Orchestra, Madrid Concert Orchestra, Manuel de Falla Orchestra, Bética Orchestra of Sevilla, City of Málaga Orchestra, and others.
Currently, he is a professor at Alfonso X el Sabio University and the Secretary-General of AIE (Society of Artists and Performers of Spain).
