The union between Spain and Mexico will have its finishing touch in Mexico City itself, specifically in the imposing Palace of Fine Arts, a World Heritage Site, one of the most important in all of Latin America, where the most beautiful melodies of our culture will sound. . It will be represented by the Spanish Rosa Torres-Pardo, pianist and winner of the National Music Award in the performance category, and the legendary National Symphony Orchestra of Mexico, which is celebrating its 95th anniversary and will be conducted by maestro Ludwig Carrasco.
The evening will begin with the premiere in Mexico of “The Courage of the Rose”, a work by the soprano, composer and orchestra director, Pilar Jurado, inspired by the figure of Pilar Bueno Ibañez, one of the thirteen roses shot that August 5 in Almudena. We will continue with a festive, devotional and spontaneous atmosphere of the Rocío procession by Sevillian Joaquín Turina, full of bright and lavish colors to continue in crescendo with the Spanish Rhapsody by Isaac Albéniz in its version orchestrated by Cristobal Halffter. We will say goodbye with a “see you soon” under the well-known Symphony No. 5 by Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky.
It will be the closing of the first edition in which the FIP Guadalquivir crosses the Atlantic Ocean, joining a culture impregnated with color and nuances. A before and after without a doubt in the evolution and projection of this festival to the world through the union of Unesco Heritage stages.
