Lecture: “Jewish Women in Mexico Writing about the Heritage of Memory”
Sometimes, memory exists as a delicate and fragile thread. In this case, the footprint of memory, safeguarded by Jewish women in Mexico, must be reclaimed to recognize ourselves, to understand what we are, and how we have become who we are.
Historian and librarian Sebastián de la Obra will guide us through this beautiful and heartwarming history, accompanied by the piano of Carmen Pérez Salmoral. From words and music, a genuine tribute to the memory of women will emerge in the magical setting of Casa Sefarad in Córdoba.
All of this will be woven through the stories of Sephardic Mexican poets such as Margot Glantz, Mirian Moscona, Rosa Nissan, Esther Cohen Dabah, Agelina Muñiz Huberman, and Magda Donato.
