The Latin American Philharmonic Camerata is a collective of professional musicians from Mexico and Latin America, established in 2016 in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico. Since its inception, the group has acted as a bridge between cultures, promoting, disseminating, and performing various musical styles from different nations.
One of its main objectives is to nurture young musicians through educational and artistic experiences in collaboration with both public and private institutions, including the University of Veracruz, the Mozarteum University Salzburg, the Instituto Superior de Música del Estado de Veracruz, Arte para Compartir A.C., Fundación UV, and others. The Camerata’s repertoire encompasses compositions by Britten, Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, Mozart, Piazzolla, Shubert, Haydn, Vivaldi, Verdi, Puccini, among others, with a predominant focus on string orchestras and small ensembles.
The Camerata’s performances have graced various prestigious stages across Mexico, including the illustrious Tlaqná concert hall, Teatro del Estado de Veracruz, Cine-Teatro Sección 44 of Tabasco, Galería de Arte Domínguez y Buis, to name a few.
Notably, the Camerata’s work transcends traditional chamber music concerts, fostering fresh artistic experiences and contributing to the cultivation of new audiences.
Additionally, the Camerata Filarmónica Latinoamericana aims to promote young talents from Latin America, supporting their careers as musicians, composers, directors, and innovative artists.
