Antonio Manuel (Almodóvar del Río, 1968) holds a Doctorate in Law and is a professor, musician, and writer. Among his many contributions to the Andalusian and mestizo heritage in contemporary society, notable works include “Moriscos-Andalusíes,del Destierro a la Concordia” created in collaboration with photographer Javier Ibarra (Fundación Euroárabe); “La huella morisca: El Al Ándalus que llevamos dentro ” (Almuzara, 6th edition); and “Flamenco: Arqueología de lo jondo” (Almuzara, 5th edition). The latter work explores the etymology of Flamenco and was adapted into a television series for Canal Sur under the same name. Antonio Manuel is also an exceptional orator and has delivered numerous lectures worldwide, including presentations at the World Congress of Flamenco and the “Al Ándalus en Mexico” Congress at the National Museum of Mexico City.
