Its origins date back to the colonial period, where Spanish, Indigenous, and African elements intertwined. There is historical evidence of this music being prevalent in the early 19th century, from the Nautla River Basin in the State of Veracruz to Huimanguillo in present-day Tabasco, as well as in C\u00f3rdoba, within the Papaloapan Basin, bridging a cultural connection between our featured country and Andalusian C\u00f3rdoba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This concert is free and is designed for music students, university attendees, and music enthusiasts who want to explore this musical phenomenon born from a rich cultural blend and well-defined indigenous traditions.
